We worked on two symmetrically mirrored two-bedroom apartments. In the future, these units will be for the client’s children, but for now, our task was to prepare them for rental – complete renovations and furnish the interiors.
Layout
We combined a dark, large hallway, a small kitchen, and one of the rooms. This resulted in a fairly spacious living area: a kitchen, dining table, sofa with a TV.
The foyer is separated by a partition and now has natural light from the windows.
The separate room is a bedroom, with access to a private walk-in closet. Another closet has an entrance from the foyer.
Cushion leaves
We wanted to fill the apartment with greenery. In addition to large plants in pots, we added green, soft, and delicate leaf-shaped cushions on the sofa and bed. This idea was inspired by Karina Madzari, who developed leaf-shaped blankets for babies.
Oak leaf
Opposite the entrance to the apartment, on the wall, we hung a plywood branch with oak leaves. The oak fit into the interior due to the soft, rounded, and patterned shape of the leaves.
Round mirrors
In the apartment, the circular shape and soft rounded lines are repeated. In the bedroom, as bedside lamps, we designed round mirrors made of colored glass, which are illuminated around the perimeter.
Result
The rent has increased by 65% compared to similar apartments in this building.
